Hello, I am Clara. I am here to help you understand the beautiful breeds of Mirare. To start off, I'd like to welcome you to the Library of Mirare. Anyway, to understand these breeds, you will need to pay extra attention to what I am going to say.
All right, the first horse on the list is the Scariah. My personal favorite! Well, the Scariah are from Rubedo and you can only export or buy them for the Country Rubedo. The Scariah are very intelligent and loyal. They have wonderful minds, a great temperament, good speed, excellent endurance levels and movement. They do exceptionally well in endurance races, trails, dressage and jumping. They are similar to your world's Arabians. If you would like to know more, please contact me, Clara.
Ah, the Farley are next. They are big and strong like Thoroughbreds and are very speedy. They have wonderful temperaments, amazing speed, good endurance and great movement. With a cannon bone of 7.5 inches they will be pretty good at cross country and jumping. They have great attitudes and will work themselves to death if you don't stop them and give them the proper care they deserve. They are fast learners, trusting and big. But be careful, they could step on you! Need more info? Ask or contact me!
Well, next are the Warmbloods. They are a tricky sort. There are Redbloods from Rubedo, Blackbloods from Nigredo and Whitebloods from Albedo. They just have a different breed name because they are in different countries, but are basically the same horse. They can get pretty tall; they have a good temperament, O-K speed and endurance and amazing movement. Now, these horses have larger cannon bones, so they will work hard and do great in it. They would be excellent in cross country and jumping. Want to know more about them individually? Tell me!
Rubedo here is a bright and beautiful country. From miles away, one can hear the hoof beats across the sand and grass. With mountains for goats and falcons, cacti and burrows for foxes and other folk, the Rubedo country is almost never quiet. The relative of the horse, being the camel, is very common in these lands. But you can't ride these creatures, but you can capture them for other uses. Anyway, as I was saying, Rubedo is packed full of life, even though it may look barren. Rubedo is home to the Scariah and the Redbloods. There are, almost always, endurance races going on in Rubedo. Constant winners, draws, loses [but nobody never doesn't lose, what good would that be? We learn from our mistakes.] and unfortunately some deaths. With more new discoveries coming in, we have more land for new players and old.
Nigredo is a strange and beautiful land. Covered mainly by forests, this country is prime for hunting and for those who perhaps prefer solitude. Nigredo is a darker place than the other countries; under the cover of the forest, danger may be found. However dangerous, Nigredo is certainly lovely, with its rich green and brown trees and flora. Shy fauna of all assortments can be discovered by the patient. Deer, fox, wolves, and even elk are no stranger to the country. Nigredo is not the best for growing crops, as the soil is not as rich nor the sunshine as abundant as the other countries. Don't be fooled by the harsh winters, though. Nigredo is a place where the journeyman may find solace and magic is not an uncommon friend. Fallen trees make excellent practice for Trial and wisdom from the country's elders may be worth more than your Coins.
Albedo is the land of beautiful sunsets and crystal blue waters. The sand is pearly white, the turf is soft under your feet and the grass is emerald green. Out of all the lands, Albedo is the greenest and probably the most peaceful. Although the people are known to be strong and very capable of battle they prefer to live a life full of riding horses bareback along the shore, painting and enjoying life itself. Albedo has quite the history you see, it originated as being a barren land with only 3 natives. They were called Noe, Aeolus and Sadira. Something you should know about Mirare is that people can never die. If you decide to explore other lands you will see that they are still to this day the leaders. One summer night they each decided to spread their wings and create their own kingdoms. Noe created Nigredo, Aeolus created Rubedo and Sadira stayed and developed the kingdom of Albedo. These three friends had a bond like no other. No one could stop their greatness. They were and are the fairest leaders and they shall always be loved by their people. Anyways, there was your history lesson of the day; we librarians tend to drift off subject. The horses are one of a kind here. You will never see another place like it. And who knows, maybe if you decide to live here you will have one of your very own. So, I invite you to discover the many enigmas of Albedo. There is plenty more to see.
AKA jumping. Trial involves a close bond between horse and rider. Being able to fly through the air over a jump in unison well over 5ft takes courage, patience and understanding of equine to human being. It's a relatively new sport, starting in the 1800's. It has thrived and become vastly respected and popular in many countries.
Bestowed the name mounted archery if you want to get technical.
Most definitely one of the oldest sports in history, Archery is all about
accuracy, fierceness, balance and precision. You may be familiar with the centaur?
The centaur was the model in greek
mythology of the power of an archerer and the speed and strength of a horse.
Archery has become somewhat of a lost art. But it's history is fascinating.
It was widespread in central Asia moving from the Huns, Mongolians, Turks,
Russians, Native Americans even the Portugese.
In your world, you may know it by fox hunting. If your not familiar with this term
despite it's rather self explanatory nature then I can whip up a quick definition for you.
The sport originated in the U.K, mostly performed by aristocratic people. The object;
follow the hunting hounds on horseback and first one to catch the fox wins.
You may be thinking, oh! how cruel! but the truth is the fox is rarely caught because of
it's agility and speed. Have you ever tried outrunning a fox?
Probably one of the most refined of the disciplines, also known as Dressage. Have you ever thought what it would be like
if a horse danced? well if you have Ecole is your answer. With it's intricate and complicated moves it takes years upon years to master. It's roots can be traced to ancient history, but really became recognized in the Renaissance period.
